President

Makena Tisor

Chicago, IL 

Makena is a sophomore, majoring in Mechanical Engineering. Aside from being the President of our EWB Chapter, Makena is a member of the Collegiate Automotive Manufacturing Society, the Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College, and the Center of Manufacturing Excellence. In her spare time, Makena enjoys trying new cuisines, dancing, and reading.

What do you think is the best part of EWB?

“Engineers Without Borders does the incredible. There are not many college students that can say they have made such an impact on another country and improved the lives of a whole community. The best part of EWB is the impact that it makes in peoples lives, both abroad and here at Ole Miss.”

Vice President

Olivia Wagg

Huntsville, Ontario, Canada

Olivia is a junior, majoring in Chemical Engineering. Aside from being the Vice President of our EWB Chapter, Olivia is a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineering and the Society of Women Engineers. In her spare time, Olivia enjoys volunteering at animal shelters, exploring different cultures and cuisines, and temporarily tattooing her friends with henna.

What do you think is the best part of EWB?

“My favorite part of EWB is seeing and hearing the ideas of others, of all different walks of life, come together for the benefit of those in need.”

 

Treasurer

Tyler Butler

Picayune, MS 

Tyler is a junior, majoring in Mechanical Engineering. Aside from being the Treasurer of our EWB Chapter, Tyler is a member of the Center of Manufacturing Excellence and the Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College. In his spare time, Tyler enjoys sports, especially  watching the Cavs, Saints, and Indians, and he likes to watch Game of Thrones and Stranger Things.

What do you think is the best part of EWB?

“I think the best part of EWB is the diversity of people it brings together to serve a bigger purpose. Every person brings a different background, yet we are all passionate about the same goal.”

Secretary

Lena Turner

Picayune, MS

Lena is a junior, majoring in Mechanical Engineering. Aside from being the Secretary of our EWB Chapter, Lena is a member of the Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College,and the Center of Manufacturing Excellence. In her spare time, Lena enjoys eating chocolate chip cookies, playing the ukulele, and watching a lot of criminal minds.

What do you think is the best part of EWB?

“The best part of EWB is being surrounded by people who are mission and service minded, and who get excited about helping others.”

International Design Chair

William Horner

Vicksburg, MS

William is a senior, majoring in Mechanical Engineering. Aside from being the International Design Chair of our EWB Chapter, William is a junior representative of the Society of Women Engineers. In his spare time, William enjoys learning how to program things such as an Arduino set.

What do you think is the best part of EWB?

“The amazing people who make up our chapter. They always give 110% effort in everything we do. Our chapter would not be the same without our awesome members.”

 

Domestic Design Chair

Megan Staffieri

Lucedale, MS

Megan is a junior, majoring in Mechanical Engineering. Aside from being the Deomestic Design Chair of our EWB Chapter, Megan is a member of the Center of Manufacturing Excellence and the Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College. In her spare time, Megan enjoys spending time with her friends and watching Criminal Minds.

What do you think is the best part of EWB?

“It is amazing to see how college students can come together in unison with other communities and make such a large impact! I am so grateful to be a part of that.”

 

Fundraising Chair 

Doug Krentz

Long Valley, NJ

Doug is a sophomore, majoring in Mechanical Engineering. Aside from being the Fundraising Chair of our EWB Chapter, Doug is a member of the Center of Manufacturing Excellence. In his spare time, Doug enjoys skiing, hiking, and swimming.

What do you think is the best part of EWB?

“The  satisfaction of helping others while also getting to know more about myself.”

 

Marketing Chair

Carly Huguley

Fairhope, AL 

Carly is a sophomore, majoring in Chemical Engineering. Aside from being the Marketing Chair of our EWB Chapter, Carly is a member of the Collegiate Automotive Manufacturing Society, the Center of Manufacturing Excellence, the Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College, and AIChE. In her spare time, Carly enjoys exploring, exercising, being outdoors, and making memories with friends.

What do you think is the best part of EWB?

“The experience it offers students! In the summer of 2016, I had the opportunity of a lifetime to go on a mission trip to Uganda and serve. It is truly eyeopening to see how much we take for granted and to see how happy they are with so little. The trip is truly life-changing! I can’t wait to help other students have the same opportunity.”

 

Student Outreach Chair

Leeta Ann Prater

Jackson, MS

Leeta is a senior, majoring in Civil Engineering. Aside from being the Student Outreach Chair of our EWB Chapter, Leeta is a member of Rebel Radio, the Garden Club, and the American Society of Civil Engineers. In her spare time, Leeta enjoys traveling, cooking, and playing basketball.

What do you think is the best part of EWB?

“I think the best part of EWB is that it brings together like-minded, talented individuals whom can collaborate to achieve something great and help people in need, all while helping its members improve themselves as humanitarians, engineers, and teammates.”

 

Corporate Outreach Chair

Bryce Little

Clinton, MS

Bryce is a sophomore, majoring in Biomedical engineering . Aside from being the Corporate Outreach Chair of our EWB Chapter, Bryce is a member of the the Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College, American Medical Student Association, and Biomedical Engineering Society. In his spare time, Bryce enjoys learning about philosophy and computers.

What do you think is the best part of EWB?

“I think the best part of EWB is real people turning their large goals into reality.”

Madeline Mixon

Eupora, MS

Madeline is a junior, majoring in Chemical Engineering. Aside from being the Membership chair of our EWB Chapter, Madeline is a member of Gamma Beta Phi, NSCS, Pi Mu Epsilon, AIAA, and AIChE. In her spare time, Madeline enjoys skydiving, listening to music, playing and watching sports, and trying new foods.

What do you think is the best part of EWB?

“The best part of EWB is how welcoming our club is to new members. We provide many ways to get involved, so members have many ways to contribute to our overall goal.”

 

Spring Events Chair

Josh Brenc

Wheaton, IL

Josh is a senior, majoring in Mechanical Engineering. Aside from being the Spring Events Chair of our EWB Chapter, Josh is a member of the University of Mississippi Navy ROTC. In his spare time, Josh enjoys ruining, swimming, and working on cars.

What do you think is the best part of EWB?

“The best part of EWB is the people you encounter. The relationships I’ve built with the members of the club to the people I’ve met internationally have shaped me into the person I am today.”
